Claddagh Jewelry - The Claddagh Brooch Probably the most famous piece of Claddagh Jewelry other than the Claddagh Ring is the Claddagh brooch. After the Claddagh, Galway was probably best known for the Galway shawl, a traditional shawl worn in the Claddagh village and throughout the West of Ireland, and these shawls often were accompanies by the Claddagh Brooch, either in gold or in sterling silver. These brooches were cherished by their owners and passed down through generations of families.
