	Sterling Silver High Cross of Moone High Cross of Moone Pendant High Cross Of Moone in Co. Kildare, stands 17.5 feet high it carries 51 sculptured panels of scriptural scenes. Unlike other crosses The Cross of Moone was lost for centuries, buried and in pieces. The capstone of the cross is still missing. It was put together in the middle of the 19th Century by members of the O'Shaughnessy family who found the first piece of the cross. The cross is believed to date fom the 9th century. Louth, Is an outstanding example of the high crosses of the early Christian period in Ireland. It stands 17 feet and 8 inches high, with almost every inch of the surface ornamented with sculptured panels of excellent design and workmanship. Muireadach was the abbot of Monasterboice who died in 922 and for whom this cross was made.
